Assists in preparation of monthly management report and accompanying schedules, worksheets, and narratives, including “Budget vs. Actual” variance reports. Assist in providing follow-up and documentation of significant variances. Ensures accurate and timely analysis of financial and operational results for the location(s). Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of location and related issues and maintain ongoing communication with the location leadership.
Financial Analyst
1. Comply with legal regulations, including tax and audit rules.
2. Prepare financial statements, contribute to monthly closing, analyze revenue and costs, and prepare monthly account reconciliations.
3. Act as the lead contact during various internal accounting audits. Supports external audit requirements.
4. Develop appropriate accounting, analysis and reporting formats, procedures, schedules, and recommend policies, to support the reporting and analysis process.
5. Present narratives, graphs, and other reports as required to support monthly reviews and other management presentations.
6. Maintain and enforce internal controls
7. Provide analysis and support as required for location capital investment.
8. Recommend areas for cost reductions and other improvements within the location.
9. Ensure that all work activities are performed in accordance with established environmental, health, safety, quality, and compliance standards.
Minimum of 2-5 years of finance experience, preferably in manufacturing setting. Strong knowledge and understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles along with solid analytical and organizational skills. Excellent communication abilities, including writing, speaking, and listening. Working knowledge of manufacturing operations, product costing and financial controls. Must have demonstrated understanding of profitability drivers and be proficient with computer systems and programs. Strong skills in MS Office suite are required, including in Excel.
