The Application Engineer is the technical interface between the customers under his/her responsibility and the Agrati Group organization.
Working in conjunction with the Agrati Sales team as the key technical advisor, the Application Engineer must be able to support the customers during the development of projects that require the use of fasteners or other products that can be supplied by Agrati Group.
The Application Engineer must be able to establish and maintain strong relationships with customers throughout the sales cycle.
Pre-sales activities as technical touchpoints and products promotion are to be managed to hunt for new business opportunities.
Principali responsabilità:
CUSTOMER
▪ Organize and perform visits to customers, alone or in cooperation with KAMs
▪ Identify customers’ needs and sales opportunities to help future growth
▪ Promote Agrati products to customers
▪ Hunt for new business opportunities starting from the technical touchpoint with customers
TECHNICAL
▪ Maintain expert level of products knowledge and application
▪ Prepare and submit technical proposals such as sketches, drawings, presentations, case studies
▪ Participate to the identification of cost effective and best suited engineered products for the requested applications
▪ Manage Technical Review meetings with customers
▪ Support Agrati Group Depts. for the feasibility analysis, during RFQ stage, in translating customer requirements into Agrati specifications and know-how
▪ Support Project Managers in all the phases of samples production and delivery, to ensure the respect of budget and timing
▪ Perform or participate to benchmarking analysis
▪ Support customers, together with the internal organization, to handle and solve quality problems that may rise during the normal deliveries of the parts
▪ To promote cost saving activities (line walks, product improvements, technology changes)
PEOPLE
▪ Coordinate with other Agrati Group depts. (KAMs, Product Managers, Technical Dept., Agrati Tech Center) to share information about on-going projects
▪ Participate to the skills self-evaluation and contribute to define the training program
▪ Fluency in English speaking and writing is a must
▪ Management/supervision experience is a plus
▪ Experience in project management is a plus
▪ Fasteners field related experience and skills is a plus
▪ Availability for frequent business travels
REPORTING
▪ Track Application Engineering projects according to the Agrati Group Procedure GP.069
▪ Track the modifications of the engineering standards of the customers under his/her responsibility, and distribute the information in the organization
▪ Prepare Monthly Reports to be sent to the Application Engineering Manager
Conoscenze e competenze:
▪ Bachelor / Master degree (mechanical engineering, materials engineering, aerospace engineering)
▪ 5 years experience in technical roles in companies working in automotive market
▪ Ability to work in team and to create relationships with customers
▪ Business orientation, being able to find new projects opportunities
▪ Proactivity, self-motivation and flexibility
▪ Accuracy, precision and excellent analytical skills
▪ Ability to work under pressure and time constraints
▪ Strong verbal and written communication skills
